The Center Approach

We believe in hearing and following the Most High God. Pastor Cedric is equipping those who want to be trained to hear on their own. Your personal relationship with God is everything. We are here to support you on that journey to your New Beginning.

  • The Center Approach is God”centric” in every sense of the word. We keep God at the center of everything we do.

We believe in letting The Holy Spirit lead the direction of our God service.

This looks like inviting members up for prayer, engaging with each other and setting the atmosphere to have real conversations led with love.

  • We Believe in Signs, Wonders & Miracles

    We Listen for Understanding

    We Follow God’s Word

We Build Strong Families through Community.

We Keep Transparency and Integrity at our Core.

  • Our mission is to follow the great commission (Matt 28:19-20).  We will win souls for Christ, be led by God through prayer to build this ministry and strong families to glorify God, edify the body of Christ, serve the community through various outreach programs, equip and train leaders to be sent out, and to be good stewards over God's resources.

  • God, by His Spirit, has anointed New Beginning Family Worship Center to: Preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent us to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Meet Your Center Family

  • Pastor Cedric Saunders was born in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended various Christian schools and graduated from Word of Life Christian Academy located in Springfield, Virginia in 1993. Pastor Cedric Saunders received Jesus as his personal savior at the age of 10, and he was baptized and joined Mount Jezreel under the leadership of the Late Reverend Henry Houston. Pastor Saunders was filled with the Holy Ghost and became a member of Alexandria Christian Center in 1992.

In service to God, Pastor Cedric worked in various ministries of Alexandria Christian Center, Love International Church, and Truth and Glory Church. He served as an usher, deacon, sounds technician, armor-bearer, and in the TV and men's ministries. He led intercessory prayer and youth ministry for six years and faithfully served for twenty years as a minister in the jail ministry. Pastor Saunders was licensed to preach on November 20, 2011. He was also the Director of Ministry at Truth and Glory Church for two and a half years which opened the door for God to promote him to the next level. He was then ordained as a pastor at Truth and Glory Church on June 29, 2014.

In faithfulness to God's call to advance His Kingdom; Pastor Cedric founded New Beginning Family Worship Center in September 2014. Pastor Cedric believes God had shown him the need for a new beginning, restoration, and healing in the lives of His people.

Pastor Cedric has been happily married for twenty-four years to Lady K (Karen) and is the proud father of three beautiful daughters: Karina, Kaila, and Kamille. He enjoys eating, watching and playing basketball and football, and listening to various genres of music. Spending time with family, serving God, and helping others is of utmost importance to Pastor Cedric. Pastor Cedric believes that God is raising up a generation that wants more than just “good church.”

  • Lady Karen Saunders (Lady K) was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended her uncle’s church, Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, in Memphis, TN, where she was saved and baptized at the age of 12.

She attended Memphis State University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and received her MBA in Health Administration from Strayer University in 2012. Lady K met her husband, Cedric Saunders, while working in various ministries at Alexandria Christian Center in Alexandria, VA.

Lady K has been happily married for twenty-four years to Pastor Cedric Saunders and is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters: Karina, Kaila, and Kamille. Lady K assisted her husband in starting New Beginning Family Worship Center (NBFWC) and is the church administrator for NBFWC. She is also the leader of the women’s ministry (Daughters of God) where she is excited to assist women to grow from caterpillars to beautiful butterflies!

  • New Beginning Family Worship Center was incorporated in the state of Virginia on September 15, 2014. Pastor Cedric started out by having a couple of bible studies in Lucy Hawkins’ Fitness studio in Arlington, VA; then God presented an opportunity for him to lease some church space in Bethel Worship Center at 7837 Rolling Road in Springfield, VA. This is where we are presently and on Sunday, October 19, 2014, we held our first service. There were thirty-two people in attendance and fifteen people joined the church at that service. Pastor Cedric Saunders and his family, along with a handful of others, have been commissioned by God to start this new work!

The vision that birthed our name was two-fold. First and foremost, Pastor Cedric Saunders along with the founding members heard the voice of God to build community. Secondly, we believe that everyone can have a New Beginning because of what the Most High God has made available.
